On November 27, taking advantage of a meeting of the Natural Heritage Mission (MPN) of the Interreg Euro-MED Program in Barcelona, the first local meeting of the Better Blue project was held, of which the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce are partners.

The aim of the project is to support coastal and maritime regions in adapting to climate change through a collaborative governance model. Therefore, this initiative has many complementarities with Life eCOadapt50.

Funded by the Interreg Europe Program, Better Blue is made up of 13 partners and brings together nine non-metropolitan coastal regions of the EU to share knowledge and co-create local solutions for climate change adaptation and improving territorial resilience.

At the first meeting organized within the framework of this project, representatives of different entities attended, such as the Xarxa per a la Conservació de la Natura, Beta Tech Centre de la Universitat de Vic, Departament de Geografia de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Port de Barcelona, GALP Costa Brava,  CREAF, Fundació Nova Cultura de l’Aigua, UGT Catalunya and Oficina Catalana de Canvi Climàtic de la Generalitat.
