Afectacions per microorganismes

Les condicions ambientals extremes acostumen a provocar reacció amb els elements orgànics del paper i donen lloc a l’aparició de microorganismes identificables per les taques de color verdós o lila. Aquesta afectació provoca el deteriorament i la pèrdua de consistència del suport dels documents, i per a neutralitzar-la es requereix l’acció d’un conservador i restaurador.
