L'objectiu de l'Oficina Tècnica de Cartografia i SIG Local és dotar als municipis i ens locals de la província dels instruments bàsics, per a planificació integrada del territori, com la cartografia digital i el Sistema d'Informació Territorial Municipal (SITMUN).
Aquests instruments es gestionen de forma centralitzada des de l'Oficina Tècnica de Cartografia i SIG Local, i es dóna assessorament i suport tècnic en la seva utilització, als municipis i ens local de la província.
