Decentralized cooperation, a key tool for localizing the 2030 Agenda
Barcelona Provincial Council has participated in the seminar "Local decentralized cooperation and 2030 Agenda", which took place in Madrid between the 26th and the 27th of March, organised by the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities (FEMP) and the Madrid City Council.
The seminar, through different debate workshops, has served to evaluate and address the challenges that decentralized cooperation faces in order to locate the 2030 Agenda, identify models for local governments and their networks for localizing, implementing and monitoring the 2030 Agenda in their territories and foster a space for discussion between different social sectors and public entities of all levels linked to the multilateral agenda.
The Barcelona Provincial Council has participated in the workshop contributing its experience and work around the 2030 Agenda and public decentralized cooperation.
