What is IMPACT?

The IMPACT Project - Impact of entrepreneurship programs in young entrepreneurs' skills acquisition is a strategic association with partners of five nationalities: Asociación Jóvenes Solidarios (Spain), Akademia Humanistyczno – Ekonomiczna of Lodz (Poland), Câmara Municipal of Estarreja (Portugal), Bridging to the future (United Kingdom) and Oficina del Pla Jove de la Diputació de Barcelona (Catalonia).

The tool has been designed after EntreComp Research – The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, published in 2016 by the European Commission. EntreComp defines Entrepreneurship like « a transversal competence, which applies to all spheres of life: from nurturing personal development, to actively participating in society, to (re)entering the job market as an employee or as a self-employed person, and also to starting up ventures (cultural, social or commercial)». The result is a test with 55 items for self-assessment of three of the 45 competences that EntreComp proposes: ‘Spotting opportunities’, ‘Motivation and perseverance’ and ’Taking the initiative’.

Entrecomp

The main characteristics of this test are:

  • It is presented in a dynamic way, with the aim that results attractive and useful,
  • It includes audio-visual support to clarify concepts,
  • It is possible to complete each competence singly,
  • It will be sent immediate results, and orientations from it,
  • It will allow obtaining the analysis of competencies of a group (for example a non-formal group, or a classroom, or educational level in a secondary school etc).

Now we are in the phase of data collection, expecting that more than 1.500 youngsters will use the test. On October 2019, we will organise two multiplier events in Barcelona. One addressed to youngsters that have used the self-assessment tool, where they will know different entrepreneurship projects and will debate around the planning of their future. Another one addressed to professional and politician with the aim of disseminating the results obtained in this project and providing information useful to political responsibility.
