ARCA organizes a training session on planning and co-creation dynamics for living labs in Cervera
Since the start of the Life eCOadapt50 project in January 2023, more than 80 living lab sessions (LL4CC) have been held across all project territories, where over 105 actions have been co-created among the involved local stakeholders. To continue co-creating and motivating stakeholders to participate in LL4CC, and to foster a real co-creation dynamic focused on identifying strategically relevant projects, ARCA organized a training session on planning and co-creation dynamics for living labs in Cervera on October 22.

This session, led by Raiels, was open to all project territories and arose from needs expressed mainly by the seven Local Action Groups partnering in the project (CLPO – Consorci Leader Pirineu Occidental, ALP – Associació Leader de Ponent, GALP Costa Brava, LCC – Consorci per al Desenvolupament de la Catalunya Central, CLDRC – Consorci Leader de Desenvolupament Rural del Camp, ALRGB – Associació Leader Ripollès Ges Bisaura, and ADRINOC – Associació per al Desenvolupament Rural Integral de la zona Nord-Oriental de Catalunya).

During the session, concrete and easily applicable guidelines were provided for the technical teams of the LAGs as a methodological proposal to improve the design of the project’s LL4CC, addressing the identified needs.

A proposal was presented for what a “concretion cycle” could look like, aimed at strengthening spaces dedicated to co-creation (with enough time to define projects) as well as those for sharing ongoing action results and boosting local stakeholder commitment. This proposed cycle includes three key stages—co-creating, prioritizing actions, and sharing—plus a step for drafting action sheets, as summarized in the image.

The training concluded with a practical example of a real dynamic, where attendees took on the roles of moderators and participants in an LL4CC to practice the acquired knowledge. Additionally, potential action proposals emerged for the tourism sector.
