Technical Advisory Board - Life eCOadapt50

The Technical Advisory Board (hereinafter TAB) is the scientific and technical advisory body that provides guidance and support in the definition, validation, and prioritization of actions for climate change adaptation in the different territories involved in the Life eCOadapt50 project.
She also collaborates in organizing the Horizon eCOadapt50 series of workshops for knowledge transfer on climate change adaptation in the agricultural and livestock, forestry, fisheries, and tourism sectors.
The objective of this body is to ensure that the climate adaptation measures proposed in the different territories are effective and based on the best available evidence, thereby contributing to the overall project goal of preparing communities and ecosystems to adapt to the impacts of climate change and turning challenges into opportunities.
Composition
The TAB consists of a permanent committee and a (living) list of collaborators:
- On the one hand, the permanent committee is made up of individuals directly involved in the project, as they are project partners.
- On the other hand, the list of collaborators includes technicians and scientists who will participate in the execution of specific tasks (reviews, evaluations, etc.) in exchange for remuneration when their services are required.
Below are the members that make up the standing committee, linked to knowledge agents that are part of the project consortium:
- Antoni Domènech, URV (coordinator)
- Enric Aguilar, URV
- Núria Parpal, DIBA

- Support in defining actions
Support the definition and specification of climate change adaptation actions arising from co-creation within the climate change living labs (LL4CC), providing improvement proposals. - Evaluate and apply prioritization criteria for actions
All climate change adaptation actions co-created in the territories through the operation of the respective LL4CC are systematically evaluated by the members of the TAB (to date, the TAB has reviewed more than 120 actions). To do so, a standardized evaluation form has been created and implemented. This form is used by the TAB to provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement, which are then formally shared with the territories.
The form takes into account the following criteria:
-
Feasibility: economic, technical, social, and political/institutional
-
Cross-cutting nature: internal and external
-
Replicability: sectoral and territorial
-
Innovation: governance, technical, economic, and/or commercial
-
Benefits: ecological and social
-
Degree of climate change adaptation: response to vulnerability risks, durability, and territorial relevance
-
- Knowledge transfer
Deliver presentations or training sessions in the Horizon eCOadapt50 workshops, which make it possible to identify inspiring ideas, initiatives or projects that can be replicated within the Life eCOadapt50 project.
The TAB members meet officially on a quarterly basis.
