The Life eCOadapt50 (2023–2030) project promotes innovative and sustainable actions for climate change adaptation in the forestry, agri-livestock, tourism, and fisheries sectors, driven and selected by local stakeholders.
The initiative aligns with the core pillars of the Local Development Strategy of the Camp Rural Development Consortium, which identifies climate change adaptation as a key priority for its area of influence—a natural environment under high stress from intensive human activity, further exacerbated by climate shocks.
Life eCOadapt50 is a participatory project operating across rural Catalonia. Each participating territory has an open working space, or Living Lab, for project governance. These spaces are designed to foster dialogue and the proposal of climate adaptation actions and measures. The active involvement of socio-economic actors, policymakers, and citizens is essential to increase the resilience of territories and their economic activities.
Following the initial constitution of the Camp de Tarragona Living Lab on October 27, strategic public and private stakeholders are once again invited to participate. During the meeting, proposed actions submitted to Leader del Camp for 2024 will be presented and evaluated. Approved actions will be eligible for implementation within the project framework.
