Registration Open for the Free Regenerative Agriculture and Livestock Farming Course Series
The Association of Rural and Maritime Initiatives of Catalonia (ARCA) and the Life eCOadapt50 project are organising a free series of courses on regenerative agriculture and livestock farming this autumn. The training programme will be held in person at Mas La Sala, in Sant Pau de Segúries (Ripollès, Catalonia). The initiative aims to provide farmers and livestock producers with practical tools and knowledge to address the challenges of climate change through soil regeneration strategies and sustainable farm management practices.

The series will begin on 18, 19 and 20 September with the course “Applied Microbiological Fertilisation”, which focuses on soil biology and the role of microorganisms in crop fertility and health. Participants will explore topics such as the soil food web, carbon and nitrogen cycles, composting, and practical applications of microbiology to improve agricultural productivity and soil resilience.

The second course, “Regenerative Livestock Farming in the Context of Climate Change”, will take place on 15 and 16 October. It will examine the main processes that influence the degradation or regeneration of agricultural ecosystems and introduce management tools designed to strengthen the adaptive capacity of livestock farms in the face of climate change. Topics will include regenerative grazing, pasture management, silvopastoral systems and whole-farm planning.

Through this training programme, ARCA Rural and Life eCOadapt50 aim to promote knowledge transfer within the primary sector and encourage regenerative practices that help preserve soil fertility, enhance biodiversity and increase the resilience of rural areas.
