A Poster from the Terra Alta Drought Observatory at the 8th Water Engineering Conference Held in Zaragoza
The Ebro Observatory (URL-CSIC) presented the poster titled “Terra Alta Drought Observatory: Improving Supplemental Irrigation Management in Vineyards through Soil Moisture Observation and Modeling” at the 8th Water Engineering Conference held in Zaragoza on October 22 and 23. This initiative is part of the Life eCOadapt50 project. The authors are Roger Clavera, Pere Quintana, Judith Cid, and Anaïs Barella.

The poster explains that the Drought Observatory is an initiative aimed at optimizing irrigation water use in traditionally rainfed crops, such as vineyards. It outlines the objectives, study area, methodology, and results. These include in-situ observations, remote sensing, modeling and index calculations, as well as irrigation recommendations for vineyards.
The publication also highlights the dissemination of results through a newsletter, along with conclusions and future perspectives. The poster can be downloaded at this link.
