Life eCOadapt50: the adaptation of 19 territories of Catalonia at the climatic change
At the frame of the V Forum of Environment and Local World, the February 28, 2023 has made the act of launch of the project Life eCOadapt50. Co-strategic creation for the adaptation at the climatic change, coordinated by the Area of Climatic Act of Barcelona's Deputation. This initiative promotes the adaptation at the climatic change at dife- yeasts territories of Catalonia and at several vulnerable economic sectors at the climatic change at a temporal horizon of eight years, of the 2023 at the 2030.

Life eCOadapt50 continues and extends the act of the Life Clinomics, European project of adaptation at the climatic change executed among the 2016 and the 2020 at Earths of the Ebre, the Tall Penedès and the Natural Park of the Montseny-Reservation of the Biosphere, with the leadership, also, of the Area of Climatic Act of the Deputation of Barce- canvas. Life eCOadapt50 collects the ken and the experience acquired with Life Clinomics to improve the performance at other territories of Catalonia.

With an estimate of 19 million of euros, cofinançat at a 60% for the program Life of the European Commission and at a 40% for the 24 public fellows and private that form part, Life eCOadapt50 foresees to execute until the 2030 one minimum of 76 acts at four economic activities especially vulnerable at the effects of the climatic change –agro-farmer, forest, pesquera and tourist– and at 19 rooms of Catalonia, that represent the 60% of the Catalan surface (near 19.400 km2) and imply a third of his populace, more of 900.000 inhabitants.

The project incorporates geographic areas of distinct orographic characteristics, climatic and of activity econòmi- ca (half and low mount, earths of interior with agriculture of secà or with regadiu, coastal places, zones more urban and more rural, forests…) of a wide fan of regions, like the Tall Area, Low Area, the Basin of Barberà, the Anoia, the Bages, Osona, the Ripollès, the Garrotxa, the Low Empordà, the Pallars Jussà, the Pallars Sovereign, Urgell's Plan and the Segrià.
In spite of this map of game, the project pretends, at these eight years, am- pliar- by means of the mobilisation of more 73 million of euros of fund comple- mentaris (European funds of aid at the development; state funds, regional and provincial; climatic fund; private credit; and autofinançament). With this extension, will act at the 75% of the Catalan territory: they will retort acts of the 19 initial territories and will promote of new at coastal rooms, forests of tall mount and agricultural plains of big part of Catalonia.

Acts

The project will execute a minimum of 76 acts of adaptation at the climatic change, among which some pertinent of the Life Clinomics, like for example: the Observatory of the drought as a tool of management of the water at the agriculture, the analysis of the vulnerability of the forests at the climatic change and the proposal of management were- such suitable to face and the utilisation of herds at the forest management.
Other performances that already have proposed since the distinct bands Leader are, among others, the related with new technicians for the agriculture, the most efficient watering and the promo- ció of local markets. To size that it go of- senvolupant the project, with the turnout of the local agents, will go defining concrete acts of chord at the situation and reality of the territory.
Besides, it will further the execution of reversals to extend, until a thousand the number of sizes of adaptation at the climatic change rea- litzades at the territory and at the sectors econò- mics of the project: agroramaderia, forest, fishing and aquaculture, tourism and administers it- ció local.

Turnout

Tracking with the spurt inducted by Life Clinomics, Life eCOadapt50 foresees to generate rooms of turnout and debate with the social and economic agents and the public administrations, the líving labs, at the territories of the project. This participatory model has been retorted at the preparation of the Plan of tran- sició energetic and climatic act at the Maresme, of the Local Council of the Maresme.
The project starts with 350 stakeholders identified (territorial agents) and other 106 implied.

Led by Barcelona's Deputation, the parternariat of Life eCOadapt50 constitute it 24 entities: local governances, socioeconomic agents of general field, local socioeconomic agents, sectorial socioeconomic agents and agents of ken.
