Project Life eCOadapt50 “COcreem strategic act for the adaptation at the climatic change of the territories and the local economics”
The Area of Climatic Act of Barcelona's Deputation is the coordinator of the project eCOadapt50, one of the principal initiatives that at the next years will work the adaptation at the climatic change of Catalonia, implying natively at the 42% of the territory and at the 30% of the populace.

Cofinançat for the program LIFE of the European Commission, the project has an estimate of almost 19 million of euros, 8 years of length and a consortium integrated by 24 fellows and 2 entities at quality of associated.

The local governances and the economic activities assentades at the territories do not perceive with sufficient clarity that the reversals at adaptation at the climatic change furthered now will reduce the costs and the losses in the future. Therefore, the eCOadapt50 will work to augment the resilience in front of the impacts of the climatic change at 19 territories of Catalonia and at 4 economic activities especially vulnerable: agriculture-ramaderia, forest, fishing and tourism, with the implication of the local administration.

It treats of the 5th strategic project integrated conceded at the Spanish state, these projects characterise to foster the coordination and the mobilisation of other funds of financing and like this will make the eCOadapt50, that foresees to mobilise a minimum of 73M€ of complementary funds and develop a process of execution of acts and reversals on a long-term basis for the adaptation at the climatic change.
